Glaucoma Testing & Monitoring

Glaucoma Testing & Monitoring

Glaucoma is a chronic eye disease that can cause progressive vision loss if not detected and monitored appropriately. Because early glaucoma often has no noticeable symptoms, regular eye exams and ongoing monitoring are essential for preserving vision.

At OptiHealth Optometry, glaucoma care focuses on early detection, risk assessment, and long-term monitoring. Evaluations may include measurement of eye pressure, assessment of the optic nerve, visual field testing, and ocular imaging to track changes over time.

Patients diagnosed with glaucoma or considered at risk benefit from consistent monitoring to help identify disease progression and guide treatment decisions. When necessary, care is coordinated with ophthalmology to ensure continuity and comprehensive management.

Conditions Monitored May Include:

  • Primary open-angle glaucoma

  • Glaucoma suspects

  • Ocular hypertension

  • Angle-closure risk

Glaucoma management is individualized based on each patient’s risk factors, exam findings, and overall eye health.
