Meet Dr. Irina Yakubin, OD

Dr. Irina Yakubin, OD is a primary care optometrist providing comprehensive and medical-focused eye care in Santa Monica, California. She has a strong clinical interest in dry eye disease, contact lenses, ocular disease, and preventive eye health.

After earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry in 2020, Dr. Yakubin sought experience across a variety of clinical settings to broaden her knowledge in medical optometry. This hands-on approach shaped her patient-centered, education-focused style of care.

Known to her patients as Dr. Irina, she places a strong emphasis on helping patients understand their eye health, exam findings, and treatment options so they can make informed long-term decisions.

Dr. Yakubin is also the founder of About My Eyes, a nonprofit dedicated to improving public understanding of eye health, and the author of The Eye Care Guide.

OptiHealth Optometry is located inside Montana Eyes on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica. As an independent practice, we focus on patient-centered care, continuity, and clinical decision-making based on individual needs — not volume.

Eye exams are available in English, Russian, and Spanish.
